Here are things you should pay attention to as a B-gear:
1. Standard weapons: Look for damage per shot rather than damage per second, as it will be better for charged shot, for example: My blasts have a very low dps, because they fire at about .9/second, but with charged shot I do over 1k damage.
2. Advanced weapons: Look for firing patterns that have multiple sets, such as Bawoos or Hawks, as bombing modes will add more to each set, for example, My GBM adds +4 missiles/volley, and with hawks thats 1+4 missiles, for 4 rounds, equaling 20 missiles. Bawoos operate by the same principle.
3. Engines: The level 27 fast engine has a longer boost time than later fast engines, up until 65, where it regains its 12 second boost, for that reason I use the 27 one. while I don't believe the slow engines are very useful, it is good to have one on hand. The most important for PvP in my opinion is the mid speed, which has the highest turning angle. With some practice you might be able to out-turn some I-gears.
4. Radar: I use a Bellows radar, for the 850 standard, so I can use charged shot at a longer range. i believe its worth the 100 less advanced range, since bombing mode makes advanced range obsolete. I would use this until A Fury radar is easily accessible to you.
(this isn't complete, feel free to add, I will later.)
